Emily Davinroy, LMHCA
I am a psychotherapist in the Ballard area working with children, adolescents, and adults. I work with clients around relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma (past and present), self-esteem, and other psychological concerns.
My approach to therapy is relational and psychodynamic, which means that I am interested in the ways that our relationships have shaped both how we interact with others as well as how we have come to understand ourselves. I believe that therapy is a unique relational process and an intentional space where we can begin to explore some of these patterns together so that you can move towards a more integrated sense of self, and more confidence and fulfillment in your relationships.
I hold a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and a Bachelors degree in Counseling and Human Services. As part of my studies, I worked at a therapeutic animal sanctuary creating educational resources and cultivating uniquely trauma-informed care with other nonprofit workers for youth, families, and groups in the community that had roadblocks to accessing more traditional therapy services.
In addition to being a psychotherapist I enjoy spending time in nature, being with animals, reading, and traveling.
I provide in-person sessions and telehealth (when appropriate).
In network with Premera, Lifewise, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Regence, Kaiser (PPO), Heritage & The First Choice Network.
