PHILIP FARISH, MA, LMHCA * Ballard Counselor/Psychotherapist, working with adults.
I provide Tele-health and in-person sessions (when appropriate) during the Covid 19 pandemic.
I am a Licensed Psychotherapist (LMHCA) in the Ballard area, and work primarily with adults, both individually and in couples counseling. My approach to therapy is grounded in the relational and psychodynamic traditions. I see psychotherapy as an ongoing process that allows us to move closer to a more whole version of ourselves, and into more fulfilling relationships. Through this therapeutic lens I work with clients around relationships, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and other psychological concerns.
I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest University, and a Master of Arts (Hons.) in Psychology from the University of Dundee (Scotland). I am a member of the North West Center for Psychoanalytic Study and the American Counseling Association.
Originally from Scotland, I have called Seattle home since 2015. As well as being a counselor, I enjoy hiking, bouldering, writing, and being a father.
