Devin Bard, MA, LMHCA * counseling in Wallingford for adults and adolescents

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, I provide counseling in Wallingford (Seattle) to adults and adolescents. I partner with clients in all walks of life (ages 12 and up) in addressing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and larger existential questions. My approach is psychodynamic, relational and trauma-informed, meaning I provide therapeutic intervention with care and attentiveness to clients worldviews, relationships, and learned coping strategies.

Therapy provides the space and support we need to look beneath the surface of our experiences. My aim is to help facilitate that process so that clients can move from frustration, rigidity, and despair, into clarity, openness, and a newfound joy. I believe that self-expression is healing, and as such will encourage clients to tell their stories with courage and kindness toward themselves.

I hold a Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and a Bachelors in Psychology from Ball State University. During my training I conducted research on race and sexuality and volunteered as an advocate for students who experienced sexual assault. In addition to being a therapist, I enjoy dance, filmmaking and musical theater.
