I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of Washington. I provide adult and  adolescent counseling in Ballard to clients from a variety of backgrounds struggling with relationships, emotional disturbance, feelings of depression and/or anxiety, trauma (past or present), family of origin concerns, and difficult life transitions.

My approach is relational and psychodynamic; this means I believe our unconscious mind and history of relational experiences shape the way we live and interact day to day. Together we will explore those patterns and the ways they have shaped you. An important part of the process is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for us to be curious about the landscape of your heart. It is here that we pay attention to ways you have struggled to live as your authentic self.

I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. As part of my studies, I worked with youth and families in Uganda, Mozambique and Israel to help cultivate culturally sensitive approaches to working with trauma. In addition to being a therapist, I enjoy working with and riding horses at Eagle Mountain Ranch in Smokey Point, Wa.
